Most of the postcards are from 1980-1990. I mean, wow! I was looking for old/vintage postcards all over the internet, while I had a bunch of them not even remembering.
This one is the oldest I could find. It's from 1974! |

And another thing I wanted to talk about (also includes postcards) is postcrossing! Basically, how it works, is that when you sing up, you need to click "send a postcard" and then they generate one address from all over the world! They also give you the postcard ID, which you must write on the postcard! After you send it, when the other person gets it, they register that postcard with the ID and then you get one. Maybe this sounds a bit complicated, but it really isn't.
Also, the idea of postcrossing is to keep people sending hand-written postcards through mail, rather then internet. I can't express that simple feeling of happiness, when I get a postcard from like, America, Brazil or even Taiwan! The thought that someone far far away in the world bought that postcard for you and wrote all the greetings from their country is amazing!
Recently, I thought of the idea, that I will collect the same amount ( or even more) of the postcards from all over the world that my mom gave me and give it to my daughter ( if I have one). I would like to make this a tradition in my family.
I hope I inspired you to write more hand-written mail, because everyone loves getting mail! :))
